Conditions of participation

A. Terms and conditions of competition and participation

• The Advent calendar will be launched on 3 December 2023. The closing date for entries is 30 December 2023.

• People can take part using the participation form provided on gornergrat.ch. Multiple entries from one party will be counted as a single entry.

• The winners will be drawn from the correct answers.

• The competition is free of charge and there is no obligation to buy. It is carried out by the Gornergrat Railway (hereinafter referred to as GGB).

• The competition is open to persons aged 18 and over. Employees of BVZ Holding AG (Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn and Gornergrat Railway) and their relatives are not eligible to enter.

• The participants confirm the accuracy and completeness of the personal data provided. They acknowledge that any modification or inaccuracy of personal information may result in disqualification from the competition and the loss of all prizes.

• If GGB suspects that the chances of winning have been impaired by manipulation or other improper or unfair means or if there are any other legitimate doubts, GGB reserves the right to exclude persons from the competition, to refuse or reclaim prizes already awarded and to name other winners.

• Failure to comply with the terms and conditions of entry will result in exclusion from the entire competition and consequently from all prizes.

• GGB reserves the right to change, extend, suspend or cancel these conditions, the competition or its results without prior notice in cases of force majeure.

• Entrants explicitly and unconditionally agree to these terms and conditions.

• Winners will be notified of their prizes and the date of dispatch exclusively via the e-mail address provided during registration.

• No correspondence shall be entered into regarding the competition. The judges’ decision is final.

B. Use of data and data protection

• The winners will be notified by e-mail. If they do not respond within three (3) working days, the prize will be forfeited and another draw will be held among the other entrants.

• No details of either the winners or the entrants will be passed on to third parties.

• GGB cannot be held liable for loss of data during data transmission or for other technical defects.

C. Conditions

• Every participant who has completed the entry form in full and provided their details will be automatically entered in the prize draw.

• Prizes cannot be paid out in cash.

• If the prizes mentioned are no longer available, GGB reserves the right to award alternative prizes of equal value.

• The judges’ decision is final.

• The place of jurisdiction is Brig. Swiss law shall apply exclusively.
