The magic of Zermatt Unplugged

Story 15

At Zermatt Unplugged, newcomers and established musicians demonstrate their skills. The 15th edition of the festival Zermatt Unplugged took place from 11 to 15 April 2023 at the foot of the Matterhorn.

First time on stage

Gentle guitar sounds are in the air. You can hear someone clearing their throat as the crowd slowly falls silent. Mia is on stage. Just her and her guitar. The 29-year-old looks into expectant eyes as she begins to sing. It is her voice alone that captivates and inspires the audience. The crowd cheers and celebrates the young artist who is standing on the Discovery Stage on the Riffelberg.

This is exactly how Mia envisions her appearance at Zermatt Unplugged, where she will be performing together with other aspiring singer-songwriters in front of a beautiful backdrop.

Combining music and experience

Artists from all over the world come to Zermatt every year to be inspired not only by music, but also by the experience of playing in the idyllic mountain village.

Can't believe the Simplified tour has brought us today to the Swiss Alps! Thank you Zermatt Unplugged. Can't wait for tonight's show.

Visitors can also combine the afternoon concerts on the Riffelberg with a winter excursion to 3,100 m.a.s.l. The special Gornergrat Railway ticket for CHF 40.– includes access to the multimedia experience “ZOOOM the Matterhorn – See. Feel. Marvel.

The special railway ticket is available on production of an Unplugged ticket or wrist-tag at the Gornergrat Railway ticket office.

It is no coincidence that, since 2007, the festival has become one of the most popular music festivals in Switzerland. If you want to get involved in the magic of music, this is exactly the right place.
