When deep darkness spreads and things on the mountain start to settle down, a very special evening begins on the Gornergrat. High above the valley, far away from everyday life and distractions, this is an experience that you will remember for a long time to come.
An exceptionally clear night sky
At 3,100 metres above sea level, minimal light pollution allows you to experience a sky that is effectively unrivalled in Europe. Stars, planets and the Milky Way appear here with a sharpness that is simply impossible in lower-lying regions.
Insight into the world of astronomy
You will be given access to the observatory on the Gornergrat – a place that is not normally open to the public. Astronomers provide insights into their work and allow visitors to look through the telescope. The evening will be rounded off by a presentation and guided stargazing outdoors.
Culinary delights in the Restaurant Saycheese! Gornergrat
At the Saycheese! restaurant in the Kulm Hotel Gornergrat, a delightful three-course dinner awaits you in a unique setting. The shared meal is an integral part of the programme and perfectly complements the stargazing experience at 3,100 metres above sea level.
