Dining with the stars on the Gornergrat
A dinner under what is probably the most beautiful starry sky in the world.
Nowhere else the sky is as clear as on the Gornergrat: Almost no light pollution and a wonderful panorama with the Matterhorn itself and 28 other four-thousand-metre peaks. Enjoy a fondue chinoise, classic or vegetarian, in the 3100 Kulmhotel Gornergrat accompanied by astronomic guide Peter Salzmann. As a highlight, you get the rare opportunity to visit the observatory on the Gornergrat and take a look through the telescope!
Star science with astronomic guide Peter Salzmann
Local star gazing guide Peter Salzmann introduces visitors to the constellations under an incomparable starry sky. He also shows you how to navigate using a star chart, and throws in a few selected myths about the Greek gods for good measure. As part of Dining with the Stars, you can exclusively visit the dome room in the Kulmhotel. With the telescope in the observatory, you can view the stars up close.
