Description

A hike to four beautiful mountain lakes with admirable flora and an impressive mountain backdrop.

Leisee

Shortly after starting at Sunnegga comes the first highlight: the Leisee. The lake is passed on the left side traveling forward. From there, the hiking trail leads east—mostly with a view of the Adlerhorn.

Stellisee:

After about an hour of ascent, the Stellisee is reached, known for the Matterhorn reflection. A walk around the lake is recommended. From the Stellisee, the hiking trail goes downhill in about 30 minutes to the Grindjisee.

Grindjisee:

Slightly above the lake, the full floral display can be seen. From the Grindjisee, the hiking trail follows the large glacier moraine—a remnant of the last ice age—to the Grünsee.

Grünsee:

The Grünsee invites you to swim, afterwards it continues through the beautiful Swiss pine and larch forest to Riffelalp.

Check before starting your hike whether the path is open.
