Certainly not only the unmistakable view of the Matterhorn, but also the surrounding, breath-taking mountain world and the numerous culinary highlights along the route of the Gornergrat railway line. The Gourmet Ticket combines everything and is definitely an indispensable part of the Gornergrat experience.

A day for pure enjoyment on the Gornergrat

Combine the mountain experience with a culinary tour of the various mountain restaurants. Due to capacity limits in the restaurants the number of daily tickets is restricted. We advise you to book your Gourmet Ticket online in advance.

• Start the day at the mountain-top Gornergrat station in the 3100 Kulmhotel Gornergrat with a special aperitif, an ‘apéro riche’ (at the latest at 11.00 a.m.)

• Enjoy the Hotel Riffelhaus on the Riffelberg with a 3-course gourmet menu* (at latest at 2.00 p.m.)

• The final jewel in the crown is a dessert with coffee at the Restaurant Alphitta on the Riffelalp (at latest at 4.00 p.m.)

To make the day as flexible as possible you create your own tailor-made programme; it’s neither a guided tour nor a pre-planned excursion. You, our guest, can decide exactly when you start your trip up to the Gornergrat and whether you go with the train, on foot or take part in a winter sports activity of your choice to move from one ‘gourmet station’ to the next.
