Hiking ticket from Zermatt
If you prefer to hike uphill then you can do the walk the other way around and use the trips with the Gornergrat trains in the opposite directions.

There are numerous hiking paths leading from the Gornergrat to the Riffelberg. The hikers’ ticket includes 2 part-trips for the outward and homeward journeys (Zermatt – Gornergrat and also Riffelberg – Zermatt). The section from the Gornergrat to the Riffelberg is done on foot.
