Gornergrat Zermatt Marathon

Challenge yourself and cover the marathon route between St. Niklas and Riffelberg. For the ultimate test you can do the Ultra-marathon with an additional 500-metre ascent until Gornergrat.
Getting to the Gornergrat Zermatt Marathon
The Zermatt Marathon is quickly and safely reached either by public transport or by car.
The confirmation of registration which every runner gets about one week before the race via e-mail will allow you together with a valid identification to ride free from Thursday to Saturday from Zermatt and/or Brig/Visp to St. Niklaus to pick-up the starting numbers (race bib). On the race-weekend from Friday to Sunday all participants (runners) are travelling for free on the following routes:
Brig–St.Niklaus–Zermatt (Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn)
St. Niklaus–Grächen (Postal)
Zermatt–Gornergrat (Gornergrat Railway)
Zermatt–Sunnegga (Zermatt Mountain Funicular)
